TIMOTHY J. O’DONOVAN JOINS AMERIKAM BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 Grand Rapids, MI – Stephanie Leonardos, President of Amerikam, announced today that Timothy J. O’Donovan, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Wolverine World Wide (WWW), has joined the membership of Amerikam’s Board of Directors. WWW is one of the world’s leading marketers of branded footwear and casual apparel. The company’s portfolio includes several familiar brands, such as Hush Puppies®, Bates®, Merrell®, Wolverine® and Sebago®, and is also the exclusive footwear licensee of popular brands including CAT®, Harley-Davidson® and Patagonia®.
Under O’Donovan’s leadership as CEO from 2000 to April of this year, WWW increased global footwear sales from approximately 37 million pairs in 1999 to nearly 47 million pairs in 2006. During that time the company also expanded its operations in North America and Europe and increased its brand presence from 132 countries to nearly 180 countries.
In 2006 O’Donovan was named Grand Rapids Business Person of the Year by the Grand Rapids Economic Club, and also received the Iowa State University Distinguished Alumni Award.
In his new role at WWW, O’Donovan said he’d focus on working closely with the President and CEO, Blake Kreuger, and the company’s management team as they continue to build a portfolio of global lifestyle brands and pursue opportunities that lie ahead.
Leonardos stated, “We will look to Tim’s keen ability to identify business potential and to target expansion opportunities as Amerikam is postured for growth with our highly engineered products and patented technology.” She added, “His understanding of our commitment to community service is an important part of our decision. It will be a privilege working with him.”
Amerikam recently entered into a licensing agreement with Legend Valve Inc., for Amerikam’s patented ceramic flow control technology in an environmentally conscious hydrant design for water conservation.
Meanwhile, O’Donovan stated, “Amerikam is focused, forward thinking, and genuinely dedicated to providing purposeful products for its customers as well as a meaningful quality of life for its employees.
