Amerikam Engineering Intern, Andrew Ketchum, traveled to Kentucky in June to compete in the 2016 Skills USA National Competition--Automated Manufacturing section. Along with two teammates, Andrew’s team had to create 3D models from blueprints, create the toolpath for the 3D models, use simulation software to run the program, and then run the simulator and CNC machines. Andrew’s team finished 2nd out of 17 teams!
The week concluded with a day of community service project helping out a local greenhouse doing some weeding and spreading mulch.
